Graphic Design
What is a brand identity? and why do we need one?
A brand identity is how customers remember and recognise your brand. Therefore, a brand identity is not just about creating a beautiful logo, it’s about how it can be translated into numerous different elements, like fonts, colours, patterns, negative space, iconography, imagery, layouts and text.
Once your brand identity is established you can then have your website, packaging and other design elements created. This will create a seamless brand experience.
Below explains the different design elements:
Logo
A logo is a symbol made up of text and images that identifies a business. A good logo shows what a company does and what the brand values. Logo design is all about creating the perfect visual brand mark for a company. Depending on the type, a logo usually consists of a symbol or brand-mark and a logotype, along with a tagline.
branded stationary and signage
Why is stationery design so important? It’s your brands first impression. A good stationery design sets the tone from the start, it keeps the memory of the brand with the consumer, it’s a branded element that will last long in their homes or offices. Branded stationary does not only use logos but also branded patterns, colours, typography, iconography, types of paper and texture.
Stationary design includes letterheads, envelopes, business cards, presentation folder, notepads, pens, email signatures, invoices, stamps, stickers, planners, brochures, ‘Thank You’ notes, greeting cards, mobile phone screensavers, masks and anything in between.
When we speak about signage, its just as important because it allows you to draw attention to your company and further develop your brand. It’s cost-efficient because it can give you constant exposure, no matter the time of day, and because it can be used on a long-term basis. Signage can direct new customers towards your business that might not have otherwise been able to find you.
mobile app
Mobile app design is the task of designing mobile applications. Even though mobile apps have a wide variety of uses, what unifies them is the need for optimal usability, accessibility, engagement, and overall user experience. In short, addressing all the above concerns
App design combines the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). While UI lends itself to the overall style of the app (including the colours, fonts, and general look and feel), UX focuses on the actual functionality and usability. The better the design, the better the chance that a user will engage with it and thus keep using it.
EMAILERS
A designed emailer includes your logo, branded elements like icons, colours, patterns, pictures/ gifs and typography. Emailers are designed to grab the customers attention and eventually click the button to find out more. If you are planning to communicate with your customers on a weekly basis it’s advised to have a good email design.
Iconography
Icons are important for any design system (website). Icons help us quickly navigate, are language-independent and are really small. They’re the foundational building block of illustrated content, but they are also highly technical. Your icon design is a reflection of your brand, the style of your icon should look similar to your logo or design elements, for example, if your brand has rounded elements we would design rounded icons.
Icons are fun, fast, easy, and replace hundreds of words.
PACKAGING
Packaging design is the connection of form, structure, materials, colour, imagery, typography, and regulatory information with ancillary design elements to make a product suitable for marketing. Its primary objective is to create a vehicle that serves to contain, protect, transport, dispense, store, identify, and distinguish a product in the marketplace. Ultimately, the goal of a packaging design is to meet marketing objectives by distinctively communicating a consumer product’s personality or function and generating a sale.
SOCIAL MEDIA KITS
A social media kit is the creation of materials for social media, this includes graphics and templates that would be designed to use for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn. It will include profile pictures and profile banners for all the plateforms. The designs are custom-tailored to each part of social media elements, for example, posts, stories, articles etc. It’s a great way to create brand recognition on all your social media platforms.
illustration and PHOTOGRAPHY
Illustration and photography is a vital component that communicates your brand’s visual language, it taps into your brands emotional behaviour. It focuses on the style, composition, colours, patterns of the picture of illustration. An example: a travel company would mainly use photography in their communication, the photo will have scenes of beautiful places but would always include a person enjoying that location, their style of picture would be very colourful and all the elements in focus. They would use these photos on their website, social media and printed advertising.
Website Design + Development
How will we design and develop your website?
We first establish what you need, it can be a blog, an information or service website or an e-commerce site. It depends on if you need to easily add a blog post or a new product to sell. Lastly, it depends on your budget. Once we have established the criteria you need for your website we will design based on the platform you will use.
The main platforms we use is WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and Shopify.
Taking your brand to a new dimension.
Below explains the different web elements:
website design UI+UX
User experience (UX) design is the process design teams use to create products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. This involves the design of the entire process of acquiring and integrating the product, including aspects of branding, design, usability and function.
User Interface (UI) – A specialisation of web design that deals with the controls people use to interact with a website or app, including button displays and gesture controls.
website implementation wordpress
We mainly use WordPress when it comes to developing our client’s websites, the main reason behind this is the amount of design flexibility we have, this allows us to have complete control over the design allowing us to create a tailored bespoke website for them. Other platforms like Squarespace and Wix are much more limiting but they do have their own pro’s. Ultimately it depends on what our client needs are.
website implementation squarespace
Squarespace is known as an all-in-one platform. If you seek a simple build and are willing to give up on some design features Squarespace could be an option. But also note the yearly fee for using this platform is considerably more than WordPress. But don’t get us wrong, we do love it for a similar build and we do often advise clients to use it if they need to regular change content and are not technically WordPress literate.
website implementation shopify
Shopify would be our go-to platform when it comes to our clients needing to sell products online. This platform is completely customisable and allows full control. It allows clean templates and avoids cluttered sites. Its also extremely easy to manage once the design has been implemented. Its good to note that they are the leading e-commerce builder for online businesses.
email address management
Once your website has been hosted on one of the platforms we will create your professional emails accounts, for example, admin@yourcompanyname.com. The amount of emails depends on where your website will be hosted.
WEBSITE PAYMENT INTEGRATION
We can help build e-commerce transactions into your website, this will allow customers to order goods or services and make secure and private payments for their purchases through your website.
digital marketing
Digital marketing is the use of the Internet, mobile devices, social media, search engines, and other channels to reach consumers. A website is the centrepiece of all digital marketing activities. Alone, it is a very powerful channel, but it’s also the medium needed to execute a variety of online marketing campaigns.
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising
PPC advertising enables clients to reach targeted Internet users on a number of digital platforms through paid ads. This can be set up on Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, or Facebook and show your ads to people searching for terms related to the products or services.
Content Marketing
The goal of content marketing is to reach potential customers through the use of content. Content is usually published on a website and then promoted through social media, email marketing, SEO, or even PPC campaigns.
Email Marketing
Email marketing is still one of the most effective digital marketing channels. Email marketing is the medium to get in touch with your potential customers or the people interested in your brand.
Social Media Marketing
The primary goal of a social media marketing campaign is brand awareness and establishing social trust. It’s a very powerful platform to grab users attention and direct them to your site.
SOCIAL MEDIA integration
We can help set up your social media accounts and run them for you. We can provide monthly social media plans to create the best engagement for your brand.
website support
We understand this can all be very overwhelming, don’t worry we will be here to guide you through the process. If you need support we will be here for you.
